Milestone Achieved: The Kelemen Company Moves Forward with Iconic Malibu Estate Development

The Kelemen Company is excited to announce that it has successfully resolved the appeal by the Malibu West Homeowners Association (MW HOA) regarding the subdivision of the 24.88-acre Trancas Parcel. Originally approved by the City of Malibu Planning Commission last year, the project faced opposition from the HOA. After a year of collaboration, we have reached an agreement, setting aside nearly 14 acres of the parcel as private deed-restricted open space along PCH. In return, the HOA has lifted its appeal, allowing us to move forward.

We are also pleased to share that we have received approval from the California Coastal Commission, marking another key milestone for the project. The company is now moving forward with plans to submit designs for four unique, single-story estate homes, each offering luxurious living space and sweeping 180-degree views of the Malibu coastline. These homes will be offered for sale during the permit process, with the option for buyers to purchase the estates turnkey, fully built and ready to move in.
